Chinese New Year: Celebrate at Longueville House
Happy New Year. The 16th February sees the beginning of the Chinese New Year. 2018 is the Year of the Dog – the Earth Dog to be precise. This movable annual festival is eagerly awaited by many and celebrated by millions across the Globe. It lasts for two weeks so here is a compatible suggestion of how to celebrate it here in Ireland.
Take a break at Longueville House, just outside Mallow in Co. Cork. At Longueville you can experience for yourselves first hand the simple life of country walks on the estate in the optional company of five eager dogs; I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to welcome in the Year of the Dog than to go walking with these gentle earth dogs who reside on a working farm. There are some very interesting special offers available at Longueville House for this time of the year.
Also as if there are not enough coincidences there is The Chinese Room at Longueville House, which is used for private dining; decorated in reds and golds with seating for 18 people at the large table. Enjoy the synergy of celebrating the Chinese Zodiac in a welcoming Irish Manor House.
Now that’s what I call thinking outside the box!
