Some good reasons to go to Harvey’s Point in Donegal this Autumn
There are any number of good reasons to visit Harvey’s Point Hotel in Donegal this autumn such as:
Why not raise a glass in Harvey’s Bar in memory of the late ‘Harvey The Goose’ who passed away earlier this September. Having arrived in 1989 there is a good chance that this uninvited guest rated as one of the longest stay guests in a hotel in Ireland. However, this does mean that Harvey’s Point is currently ‘gooseless’ so let’s hope that there may be some offspring lurking around ready to step into his webbed goose feet. He will be a hard act to follow.
Enjoy the Dinner Cabaret which takes place every Wednesday until the end of October. This is a chance to let your hair down and put on a party frock. It is a night of song, dance, fun and superb food with a five course dinner.
What about a Four day Painting Break with Conal McIntyre this October? Just imagine all those autumn colours such as burnt umber and raw sienna just waiting to be painted on to a canvas.
There is a Creative Writing weekend in November just perfect for those aspiring writers and poets. I presume it will include the use of prepositions, metaphors, similes and alliteration – yikes!
For those in search of total relaxation there is a Yoga weekend in November with Anne-Marie McGlinchey, who is one of the country’s best known yoga teachers.
All of the above and other amazing autumn offers, including cookery demonstrations and wine tasting are to be found on the Harvey’s Point website and will definitely beckon you to Donegal.
Who knows you might even get to experience some Northern Lights.
