Killarney’s famous Killeen House Hotel Celebrates
This year one of Ireland’s cutest hotels celebrates their Silver Anniversary. Yes, it is hard to believe that Michael and Geraldine Rosney opened the charming Killeen House Hotel 25 years ago on the 2nd April 1991. They are keeping their stars in alignment by having opened for this season on the 2nd April 2016.
This little hotel has a huge following of regular customers and no wonder. This is a home from home but with all the comforts that you would expect in an owner managed Country House Hotel. Don’t worry about that snowy Kerry scenery from the newspapers the other day; it must have been photoshoped as snow is a real rarity in Kerry. Now that the weather is improving and FINALLY getting warmer, i.e. double digit of 12°C plus, it is definitely time to put on those walking boots and head for the country hills and mountains. I heard Met Eireann announce this morning that the temperature is improving each day!! There are heaps of walks to choose from including the fabulous Killarney National Park where the trees are laden down with the softest of lichen, all compliments of the soft Kerry air.
Don’t forget to dine in Killeen’s Rozzers Restaurant as the food is always tempting in this bijoux restaurant – it also tastes delicious. Book directly on their website http://www.killeenhousehotel.com
