The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge – Halloween Hocus Pocus
We are now spiriting swiftly towards the scariest weekend of the year ‘Halloween’. This is a time when ghosts and goblins come out to play; a time to look out for witches on broomsticks; giant spiderwebs; bats and of course pumpkins.
Halloween this year falls on a Monday so a long weekend break is only a week away. The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge in Co. Limerick has a scarily good offer to tempt you to venture forth to the countryside. According to their website on arrival you can enjoy (if that’s the word?) a Terrorific tea and Barnbrack. The traditional Barnbrack has a pea, stick, coin and ring. Legend has it that whoever finds the ring will be wed within the year! Better still why not bring your own handsome Dracula or Lady Vampire! If all else fails you can always bring your pet as this is a pet friendly Country House.
You might need to be on the alert if you want to meet the House Ghost, a Reverend Mother from the former Convent days. She apparently roams the corridors enforcing house rules. Break them at your peril!
See Mustard Seed website for further details and rates for this Halloween weekend special.
